FAQ
Dumpster rental questions, answered
Everything we get asked about sizing, scheduling, weight, and what can go in the container.
How quickly can a dumpster be delivered?+
In most of our service area we can deliver same-day or next business day when the order is placed before mid-morning. During peak remodeling and storm-recovery periods, we recommend booking two to three days ahead.
What size dumpster do I need?+
As a rule of thumb: a single room or roof goes in a 10 yard, a full-home cleanout fits a 20 yard, larger remodels use a 30 yard, and demolition or commercial builds use a 40 yard. Tell us about the project and we'll recommend a size rather than upselling one.
How long is the standard rental period?+
Quotes include a 7-day rental window. If you need longer, additional days can be added at a flat daily rate that we quote up front before delivery.
Do I need a permit?+
No permit is required when the dumpster sits on your private driveway or property. If it has to be placed on a public street, your city may require a right-of-way permit. We'll tell you when we think one applies.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?+
Roll-off delivery is done with wheeled containers and we place protective boards under the rails on request. Concrete in poor condition can still be at risk, so we'll walk the placement spot with you before setting the box.
How much space is needed for delivery?+
Plan on roughly 60 feet of straight clearance for the truck, about 10 feet of width, and 20+ feet of vertical clearance free of low branches and power lines.
What can I put in the dumpster?+
General construction debris, household junk, furniture, flooring, drywall, wood, shingles, and yard waste are all fine. Concrete and dirt require a dedicated heavy-material container.
What is not allowed?+
No paint, solvents, oils, fuels, asbestos, batteries, tires, refrigerants, medical waste, or hazardous chemicals. If you're unsure about an item, ask before it goes in the box.
Is there a weight limit?+
Each size includes a tonnage allowance stated on your quote. Loads over the allowance are billed at a per-ton overage rate that we disclose before delivery — never as a surprise line item.
Can I load the dumpster above the top rail?+
No. Loads must sit level with the top rail so the container can be tarped safely and legally for transport. Overfilled boxes may need to be leveled before pickup.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?+
Not usually. If you send clear placement instructions — and a photo when helpful — our driver can deliver and pick up while you're away.
How does pricing work?+
Quotes are all-in for the size, rental window, and included tonnage for your address. The only variables are extra days, overweight loads, or prohibited materials that require special handling.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Major credit and debit cards for residential orders, and invoiced billing for approved commercial and contractor accounts.
Can I schedule an early pickup?+
Yes. Call or email when you're finished and we'll add you to the next available route, typically within one business day.
Still have a question?
Call or send a message — we'd rather answer it before delivery than after.
